Rahul Khullar leads sourcing, processing and export operations from Nigeria, drawing on years of on-ground business operations in the country: the relationships, logistics and judgement that only origin presence builds.
Origin work is a sequence of physical decisions. Which markets across the belt are worth buying in this week, what the seed is actually carrying when it arrives, how many screening passes a lot needs to reach the purity a buyer contracted for, and whether a parcel is dry enough to sit in a steel box across the equator without picking up moisture on the way.
That belt is not one place. White food-grade seed comes out of Nasarawa, Benue and Taraba; oil-grade out of Jigawa and Kano. Shipments load at Lagos, at Apapa and Tin Can Island. The difference between buying from origin and buying from a broker's screen is knowing which of those distinctions matter to the contract in front of you.
